I’ve been pretty busy between setting up my social media sites, working on my current and first book as well as reading articles on writing/publishing etc etc. I sometimes think I’m going to break Twitter with all the tweets to read and re-tweet or comment on.
(I’m also learning how to weed out the places with good resources as opposed to the places on the web I should avoid.)
One of the better sites is The Writer’s Circle.
The Writer’s Circle Facebook page is listed at the top of their webpage, and I would absolutely recommend it as a so9urce for new writers to get ideas, guidance and also to connect with other writers/authors.
Recently they posted a thirty day writing challenge that I’ve decided to take on. The responses were varied with some people commenting that the challenge was too elementary for a serious writing challenge. I can see the logic in that argument, however as someone who wants to write, and write often I welcome anything that will get me writing. In my opinion, no writing is elementary or beneath me.
“Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on.”
― Louis L’Amour
You see, it doesn’t matter what you write. Just write. That’s my mantra anyway. (At least one of them)
So, here’s to The Writing Circle! Here’s to Louis L’Amour and here’s to me taking on a 30 day writing challenge!
